BATESVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) – Cheyenne Ingram has just been nominated the weekly My Town Hero honor by a person who only shared the name Jamey.

According to Jamey, Cheyenne and her husband have dedicated more than 28 years of their lives to serving the Batesville community and the youth of Arkansas both as house parents and through the Arkansas Sheriffs Youth Ranch.

“I moved to the ranch in September of 2007, and having never met me, [she] opened her arms to me and treated me as her own child, and she has and still does to many children,” said Jamey. “Cheyenne may not be my biological parent, but without having her in my life, I would not know where I would be today.”

Do you know someone in your community who goes above and beyond? Maybe they’re always helping people, or greets everyone with a smile. Perhaps they’ve beat unthinkable odds or have accomplished something exceptional.

We want to highlight them. To have your My Town Hero featured, email the following information to mytown@thv11.com:

  • Their name,
  • Their hometown,
  • Their contact information,
  • A photo of them, and
  • What makes them extra special

Include “My Town Hero” in the email subject line and we’ll take care of publishing it for you. Their story might even be told on air by THV11's Denise Middleton.
