We must remember that a degree or two difference in forecasted temperatures, both on the ground and aloft could significantly impact precipitation type and amounts. It is important to be prepared. Temperatures warm well above freezing Tuesday and quick melting will occur.

Mayor Mark Stodola announced that the following shelters will be open tonight and over the next few days to provide shelter to the City's homeless population:

• Salvation Army - 1111 West Markham St.
• Union Rescue Mission - 3001 Confederate Blvd.
• Canvas Community Church - 1111 7th Street
• Compassion Center - 3618 West Roosevelt Road

Mayor Stodola also announced that the Little Rock Police Department will be offering the homeless rides to the shelters. The mayor urges citizens to call the LRPD at 371-4829 and give them the location of people on the streets that they believe to be homeless so rides can be given to one of the shelters.
