SEARCY, Ark. -- Bruce Schneier, an internationally renowned security technologist and author, will present a program at 7:30 p.m. April 7 in Lyon College’s Nucor Auditorium. The Convocations Committee event is free and open to the public.

Schneier has testified on security before the Congress on several occasions and has written articles and essays for many major publications, including The New York Times, The Guardian, Forbes, Wired, Nature, The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Boston Globe, The San Francisco Chronicle and The Washington Post. Schneier also publishes a free monthly newsletter, “Crypto-Gram,” with more than 150,000 readers. In its 10 years of regular publication, “Crypto-Gram” has become one of the most widely read forums for free-wheeling discussions, pointed critiques, and serious debate about security.

Schneier is the chief security technology officer of BT, a global telecommunications services company headquartered in London, United Kingdom.
