Appeals on Wheels coming back to Batesville

BATESVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - The Arkansas Supreme Court will hold its bi-annual "Appeals on Wheels" event in Batesville on April 28. 

The Court will hear a live oral argument at Independence Hall at University of Arkansas Community College in Batesville at 9 a.m. The public is welcome to attend the argument of the Robert Friar v. State of Arkansas case.

Following the oral argument, the Justices will speak with attendees in smaller groups to answer questions about the case and the judicial process.

Gerber recalls organic food pouches over spoillage concern

Gerber Products Company is voluntarily recalling two Organic pouch baby food products after identifying a packaging defect that may result in spoilage during transport and handling.

The recall affects Gerber Organic 2nd Foods Pouches, which are available in 3.5 ounce pouches with pears, carrots and peas, and carrots, apples and mangoes.

Officials fight spread of Chronic Wasting Disease

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Last month, The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission confirmed an elk was the first case of Chronic Wasting Disease in the natural state. Since then, two deer have also tested positive for the deadly disease.

While the disease can’t be contracted to humans, it is still something Arkansans should take seriously.

Wold renowned Kinsey Collection Comes to MTCC

Join MTCC for the opening of our largest exhibit to date, African American Treasures from the Kinsey Collection. This once in a life changing exhibit, that is currently on display at Epcot Center at Walt Disney World will open at MTCC on Friday, April 8, at 6PM. The exhibit contains rare, one of a kind artifacts that will be displayed in Arkansas for the first time ever. These artifacts work to dispel the myth of absence and demonstrate that African American history is American history.

The opening will feature a presentation by the Kinseys, refreshments, and live entertainment provided by Rodney Block and the Real Music Lovers.
