Habitat for Humanity offers Collegiate Challenge

Collegiate Challenge is Habitat for Humanity’s year-round alternative break program that offers college students, the opportunity to visit one of the 200 host affiliates throughout the United States. Groups spend one week working in partnership with the local Habitat affiliate, the local community and partner families to help eliminate poverty housing in the area.

(KTHV) - In celebration of National Rural Health Day there will be a event open to the public Thursday, November 15th at 11:00 a.m. This event will be held at the Independence County Library located on 368 E. Main St. The celebration will serve as an opportunity to showcase the public library as a resource for health information.
