Harding host bridal show April 30

SEARCY, Ark. — Associated Women of Harding and Classic Fare Catering will host Bridal Showcase at Harding University Saturday, April 30, from 1 to 4 p.m. The event is open to the public, and admission is $5.

Vendor displays will be set up in the American Heritage Center Founders Room and will include florists, fashion, cakes, photographers, salons, jewelers, travel, registries, printing and several others. There will be a bridal fashion show at 2:30 p.m. in the American Heritage Auditorium, and refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon in Cone Chapel. Door prizes will also be given away at the event.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- FedEx Executive Gregory Hall will address the Governor’s Aerospace Summit on Tuesday, March 29 at the Hot Springs Convention Center. The Summit will bring together nearly 200 industry leaders, government officials and educators to discuss the progress and needs of the aviation and aerospace industry in Arkansas. The Summit is organized by the Arkansas Association of Two-Year Colleges (AATYC) Aerospace Training Consortium.

Hall is Senior Vice President of Technical Operations for Memphis-based FedEx Express.

The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce will host a free Lunch & Learn Wednesday, May 23rd in the Chamber conference room regarding small business funding assistance through the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Herb Lawrence, Center Director for the ASU Small Business and Technology Development Center and Johanna Bach with the Little Rock District Office of the U. S. SBA will conduct a one hour overview of the financing assistance available to small businesses in the Independence County area through the SBA loan programs.

Bach will discuss the SBA 7(a) Guaranty Loan program, other specialty programs such as the Patriot Express, the SBA 504 Loan Program for Fixed Assets and Community Advantage programs for veterans and underserved borrowers as well as several new initiatives recently approved by Congress.
