BACC holds Emerson Art School Ribbon Cutting

BATESVILLE, Ark. - The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Emerson Art School located at 619 S. Broad St. in Batesville on Thursday, September 17.

After spending years as a public school art teacher and guidance counselor, Emerson Art School Owner Jeanette Emerson decided to open a private art school. At the ribbon cutting, Jeanette said she knew that the old Batesville Montessori House was the perfect location, and when she opened her doors in July of 2014, Jeanette thought she had the perfect business hours. Her intention was to hold classes from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. However, interest from skilled artists and art novices grew at such a rate that Emerson Art School is now open every day. Emerson Art School offers a range of classes that focus on multiple art media, and art lovers of all ages are welcome to get creative. For more information about Emerson Art School, contact Jeanette Emerson at (870) 612-4029, visit the school's website at www.emersonartsch.com, or check out the Emerson Art School Facebook page. Ambassadors in attendance included Bill Oliva (Community Insurance Professionals), Julie Hinkle (Southern Bank), Kyle McMullin (Independence County Abstract), and Jennifer Corter (City of Batesville).
