LITTLE ROCK — With temperatures in the forecast to dip near single-digit, residents especially should take precaution tonight against waking up to the inconvenience and hazard of frozen water pipes in their homes.
Central Arkansas Water recommends that customers leave a thin stream of water running continuously from cold-water taps in their homes tonight to protect household plumbing from freezing. The small but steady flow of moving water is less likely to freeze and serves to protect the water pipes.

A customer who needs emergency assistance with shutting off water service because of burst or leaking plumbing should call CAW at (501) 377.1239. Utility personnel are available 24 hours a day to respond to emergencies.
