72nd Annual White River Water Carnival schedule announced

BATESVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) and 2015 sponsors are pleased to announce the 72nd Annual White River Water Carnival schedule of events that will take place on Saturday, Aug. 29 at Riverside Park in Batesville.

BACC President/CEO Crystal Johnson stated, “This year’s Water Carnival events will bring back some favorites like the Bone Collector and White River’s Got Talent. And visitors to Riverside Park will enjoy new attractions like the revamped Kidzone, Duck Boat Races, and the Crash Derby. Other entertainment will feature Miss Batesville, Miss Batesville’s Outstanding Teen, Miss White River and Miss White River Outstanding Teen as well as Miss Independence County. The Water Carnival is a great opportunity for residents and visitors to the area to have a family-friendly day on the White River, and the event is a great boost to our tourism economy. We hope to see an even bigger crowd than we saw last year.”
